We were fortunate to have another healthy, happy year. Let's get to the highlights.
First up Savannah, who got a Leopard Gecko lizard for her 10th birthday...
During a long weekend trip to San Francisco she liked Lombard St., riding the cable cars and the Golden Gate Bridge.
On our trip to Kauai she thoroughly enjoyed wave-jumping, horseback riding and waterfall swimming.
Savannah is a veteran hula dancer, often earning the front & center position! 
She almost grew gills swimming over the summer. Good thing she kept her lungs, though – she used them at the Hannah Montana concert!
The girls took the train to San Diego for Thanksgiving, and had a riding lesson with their cousin.
Next, Dan took his first helicopter ride on Kauai with Lesli – what a setting for such a thrill! 
Along with everyone, he enjoyed our first-ever trip to Yosemite... 
He had a big time with Lesli on their 15th wedding anniversary trip to Provence in the south of France where we saw Roman ruins, tasted lovely wines and ate lots of local grapes, olives, and cheeses.
Now Lesli who took the girls to the east coast for an extended trip to visit family in Florida, West Virginia and unexpectedly in Georgia when they got stuck there overnight! The girls really enjoyed West Virginia - picking yummy blackberries & raspberries and exploring caves in nearby Kentucky.
The large camping trips she organizes were compromised by the summer’s fires, but we still managed to go to our old standby in Malibu. With any luck, it will still be there next year!
Finally, Charlotte enjoyed our ski trip to Mammoth, CA – especially making a snowman and digging our car out of the overnight dump.
A second grader, she was a star on her soccer team.
This is the first year Charlotte could join hula classes, and she chose a Polynesian theme for her 7th birthday.
The two sisters do a lot together, recently adding chess lessons to their repertoire. Here they are trick-or-treating as 'Elegant Witch' (Savannah) and 'Charm School Witch' (Charlotte).
We are now starting to look a lot like Christmas...
